My main theme is the ”hidden beneath the known”: my work is influenced by dream elements, archetypes, elements from poetry and fables, messages from dreams and the unconsciousness. Woven in can be signs and symbols or artefacts reminding us of the past. It also shows influences of the cultural diversity I had the chance to experience living in very diverse countries. My work often shows organic forms or makes reference to nature.

My work is characterised by multilayered complex surfaces in mostly mixed media abstract work, in acrylics, in oilstick, graphite, tempera, crayons, often with interspersed collage elements of self made prints or handmade paper.
